Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience designing and implementing Finance systems.
5 years of experience building integrated systems throughout the entire life-cycle (e.g., analyze, design, build, test, implement, and support).

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in working with database technologies, including both standalone and cloud-based databases, for data extraction using SQL queries and quantitative data manipulation.
Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) responsibilities (e.g., forecast, close, financial reporting).
Experience defining and implementing standard procedures for solution design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification, and resolution.
Understanding of software development, build, and deployment processes, with the ability to work with developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

The Google Cloud Finance Optimization Office drives continuous improvement in finance by advocating for automation and operational efficiencies, and by leading cross collaborative systems and data initiatives which utilize emerging technologies and tools to drive the scale and maturation of the finance organization.

As a Business Systems Analyst for Data Strategy and Enablement, you will work cross-functionally to establish Single Source of Truth (SSOT) data with a focus on implementing and managing role-based access for Cloud users and during different product life-cycle phases. You will become a subject-matter-expert for Cloud Financial data and join the Cloud Finance Data Stewardship team to improve data access.

Responsibilities

Execute business and systems optimization projects with a focus on SSOT implementation.
Extract and process financial datasets using SQL to support the team with data reconciliation and SSOT development.
Become a subject-matter-expert for Cloud Financial Data and help analyze data access requirements for Cloud Finance and partner organizations. Configure data access.
Become a member of the Cloud Finance Data Stewardship team and improve data access and management for both finance-owned and other Cloud assets that utilize Cloud financial data.
Prepare presentations and reports to communicate optimization insights to the leadership.
