Job Description

Power IT sales growth by leveraging technology insight to build a strong sales pipeline, win contracts, and consistently achieve order booking targets aligned with SBP and ABP goals.


Job Role: Business Development Executive

Location: Pune

Experience: 3+ years


Major Key Result Areas (KRAs)


1. Sales Pipeline Development & Management: Create, maintain, and nurture an authentic and healthy sales pipeline.

2. Order Booking & Business Plan Alignment: Track progress against business plans and achieve order booking targets as defined in the Annual Business Plan (ABP).

3. Compliance with Business Initiatives: Ensure adherence to ongoing business initiatives, sales processes, reporting requirements, and strategic priorities defined by leadership.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Sales Execution & New Account Support: Execute defined sales processes to support winning new accounts and contracts under the guidance of the Business Development Lead.


  • Pipeline & Funnel Management: Build and maintain a healthy and active sales funnel from lead generation to contract closure, in collaboration with the Business Development Lead, Solution Development, and Marketing teams.


  • Process Discipline, Reporting & Market Analysis: Maintain accurate sales data, perform required analysis, prepare pipeline reports and forecasts, and ensure adherence to critical sales processes. Conduct market, industry, and competitor studies to identify opportunities and process improvements.


  • Lead Qualification, Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Generate genuine interest from leads through initial analysis, requirement understanding, effective positioning, quality presentations, and proactive client communication, while nurturing long-term client relationships.


  • Technical Acumen & Tech-Sales Readiness: Demonstrate a tech-savvy mindset by staying updated on technology trends,sales-industry advancements, and digital solutions. Understand and communicate high-level IT solution concepts to support consultative, solution-driven sales discussions.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Solution Development, Delivery, and Marketing teams to ensure solution alignment, accurate scoping, and effective client proposals.



Additional Responsibilities (Sales & Technical Support):


  • Own assigned sales activities and pipeline outcomes as an individual contributor.
  • Support solution mapping by coordinating with Solution Development and Delivery teams for initial technical qualification.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and communicate solution value clearly to prospects and clients.


Background & Key Attributes (Nice to Have):


  • Background in IT services sales/technology sales.
  • Exposure to domains such as banking, payments, agritech, edutech, mobile applications, or e-commerce is a plus.
  • MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Tech-savvy mindset with the ability to understand and explain IT solutions at a high level.
  • Process-oriented, disciplined, and comfortable working in a growing organization.
