Who we are looking for
The primary function of the role is to partner with Global Delivery business teams to communicate requirements and ensure compliance to all relevant State Street policies and/or regulatory changes. The position requires ability to proactively identify potential risk areas as well as to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, risk impact of changes. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for escalation of status updates, non-compliance and remediation to any barriers to compliance including providing and/or presenting routine reporting to stakeholders and more senior management.

This position is a key role with regulatory implications, vital to ensure business teams within the scope of responsibility is aware of, and compliant with, requirements as outlined within State Street policies maintained within the Global Policy center. This position is responsible for ensuring teams are prepared to demonstrate compliance as well as establish processes and forums to identify and escalate where barriers toward that end exist.
What you will be responsible for
- Maintain a risk-focus across all activities, ensuring attention to detail, understanding of potential areas of non-compliance and ensuring appropriate escalation and follow-up.
- Exhibit critical thinking when reviewing new requirements and updates and ensuring any concerns are appropriately raised and addressed.
- Lead meetings across teams to communicate policy/reg change updates, gather feedback, update stakeholders on response status.
- Coordinate communication of policy and/or regulatory changes to first line business teams.
- Collate feedback from impacted business teams and ensure response from policy owners, Compliance, or other internal stakeholders.
- Track business teams implementation of necessary changes.
- Provide periodic reporting to business teams.
- Embed risk excellence culture across the teams.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in finance, business or equivalent with 3-5 + yrs. of relevant industry experience
- Relevant risk management experience
- Strong MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint skills preferred
