The incumbent will be responsible for handling overall HPC Business segment for North region of Godrej Industries Ltd- chemicals business.

Godrej Industries (Chemicals Division)


GIL Chemicals is one of the oldest businesses of the Godrej Group. We have pioneered the manufacturing of oleo-chemicals venturing into the business in 1963. We produce a wide range of oleo chemical products derived from organic material.

Our products cater to various market segments including personal care, pharmaceutical and food industries. As of today, we market over 100 chemicals that finds myriad applications in over 24 products. Keeping abreast of the evolving market, we have built our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in Valia, Gujarat and in Ambernath, Maharashtra. We produce over 200,000 metric tonnes of chemical products annually, for use in home and personal care, rubber processing, polymer, pharmaceutical and industrial applications. We have an established international presence and are further expanding our business to tap unaddressed regional markets. Our products are exported to over 80 countries in North and South America, Asia, Europe, Australia and Africa.

Focusing on innovation and best practices, we constantly get involved in collaborative partnerships and learn from stakeholders from across the globe. We continuously build on our product line by including value added specialty products. Furthermore, we also make considerable investments in Research and Development to enhance our capabilities, helping us diversify our product portfolio. We develop new products in our Research and Development Centre at Ambernath and a pilot plant at Valia. Weve also established a Technology Excellence Group to help us build on our technical capabilities. Roles & Responsibilities


  • Knowledge and understanding of HPC Industrial market understanding and mapping.
  • Identify, qualify, and expand the business venture through generating revenue (top-line) and reduce its operating costs (bottom-line) in HPC Segment in Specialty chemical sector.
  • Explore opportunities and strategic planning to achieve the target in HPC Segment.
  • Developing prospective areas and channel partners to achieve consistent business growth.
  • Close contact with R&D Application team for new product initiatives.
  • Experience in branding, sales management and new products launch.
  • Innovative approach in business operation with respect to changing and new market trends
  • Analyze industry and compare firms products with that of competitors.
  • Work closely with Commercial Team to optimize logistics.
  • Work closely with regulatory team to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements relative to cross-border movements, customs duties etc. for imports of Intercept products.
  • Monitoring the product line profitability and controlling the pricing/undercutting & Scheme, Sales, Profitability margin.
  • Execute strategies & activities to achieve desired business objectives.
  • Implementation of integrated planning & marketing campaigns.
  • Estimating the budget for brand building & focus in conjunction with operational requirements.
  • Ensuring maximum brand visibility and product awareness activities.
  • Maintaining cordial relations with customers to sustain long-term profitable growth.
  • Monitor the service and customer complaints to maximize customer satisfaction level.
  • Supervise performance to ensure efficiency in sales operations and meeting of individual & group targets.
  • Initiating sales team to meet the sales Target with respect to HPC Business Segment
  • Develop new market channels and build strong relationships with sales team and customers for transforming vision into a reality.

  • Minimum 812 years of experience in B2B sales HPC
