Amazon’s Customer Service organization is looking to expand its Data modelling and analysis team to help drive automation, self
- service and defect reduction for customers.
We are searching for passionate Business Intelligence engineers to solve complex data modelling and analysis problems and to work with engineering and business teams distributed across the globe).
As a Senior BIE, you will lead the data and reporting requirements for Amazon Stores Customer Service Product & Tech programs.
Your role will involve close engagement with senior leaders to generate insights and conduct deep dives into key metrics that directly influence organizational strategic decisions and priorities.
You will demonstrate a high proficiency in complex SQL scripting, often combining various data sets from diverse sources.
You will contribute to projects to improve customer experience and defect elimination in CS process.
You will own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, data pipeline & dashboards to drive key business decisions.
You will simplify and automate reporting, audits, and other data
- driven activities.
You will partner with Tech teams to enhance data infrastructure, data availability, and broad access to customer insights.
You will develop and drive best practices in data integrity, consistency, validations, and documentation.
You will work as part of a diverse data science and engineering team comprising of Applied Scientists, Software Development Engineers, and other Business Analyst.
Furthermore, you will also be called upon to provide business intelligence consultation beyond your team for various problem statements.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in BIE roles with hands
- on SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with statistical analytics and programming languages such as R, Python, Ruby, etc.
- Experience with metric creation, theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field
- Prior Experience in Transportation Logistics business
- Superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills, experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Experience with AWS technologies
