About Prepladder
Prepladder is a leading medical education platform focused on helping doctors crack postgraduate entrance exams through high-quality content, technology-led learning experiences, and deep academic expertise. As the business scales across products, formats, and learner segments, we are looking for a Business Leader to own and drive end-to-end business growth.
Role Overview
The Business leader will be responsible for revenue growth, business strategy, and execution across all monetisation levers. This role owns the P&L and works closely with the top management, Product, Academic, Marketing, and Tech teams to scale sustainable, profitable growth.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in consumer internet / edtech businesses, understands subscription-led models, and can balance growth with operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Strategy & P&L Ownership
- Own overall revenue, growth, and profitability across products and channels
- Define short- and long-term business strategy, growth levers, and market expansion plans
- Drive annual and quarterly planning, forecasting, and budget ownership
2. Revenue & Growth
- Scale core revenue streams (subscriptions, test prep products, bundles, renewals)
- Identify and launch new monetisation opportunities (pricing, packaging, cohorts, add-ons)
- Own customer acquisition economics (CAC, LTV, conversion funnels)
3. Sales & Go-to-Market
- Lead and scale inside sales / counselling / conversion teams (where applicable)
- Optimise sales processes, incentives, productivity, and quality metrics
- Partner with Marketing to align demand generation with conversion outcomes
4. Customer Lifecycle & Retention
- Own learner lifecycle from acquisition activation retention upsell
- Drive improvements in renewal rates, engagement, and learner outcomes
- Use data and cohort insights to improve product-market fit
5. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with Product & Tech to shape roadmap based on business priorities
- Partner with Academics to align content strategy with learner demand and outcomes
- Build strong operating rhythms, reviews, and decision-making frameworks
6. Team Leadership & Culture
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing business, sales, and growth teams
- Set clear KPIs, accountability structures, and performance management systems
- Foster a culture of ownership, experimentation, and execution excellence

- Revenue growth (YoY / QoQ)
- Contribution margin and overall P&L health
- CAC, LTV, conversion rates, and payback periods
- Retention and renewal rates
- Sales productivity and efficiency
