About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Manager for it's IB Product team within I&P CIB Front Office COO Automation group. This group is focused on building creative and dynamic solutions across business lines. The incumbent would be required to take the role of a solution consultant / product owner and would be responsible for execution and delivery of automation projects within the bank, tracking and reporting delivery schedules, timelines and derailers, including highlighting potential scope creep, bottlenecks and challenges to stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop complex teams handling multifaceted tasks and operations for a multiple business group within CIB
- Engage business stakeholders in integrating or implementing business execution initiatives
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement, redesign, change management initiatives, and risk control development
- Make decisions and resolve issues regarding operations of the team to meet business objectives
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures aligned with Wells Fargo's business line objectives
- Collaborate and consult with immediate colleagues and cross functional business partners
- Interact directly with executive management to influence, optimize, and negotiate on business operations related to Strategy and Execution
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Execution
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years Leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- The individual will be responsible managing and maintaining performance of their team, including but not limited to risk and control framework reviews, capacity, key performance metrics, front to back process improvement plans, resiliency plans, I&P location footprint and quarterbacking critical projects/programs. The role would require direct engagement with senior leaders across COO teams and partner with them to drive diverse and challenging strategic initiatives designed to improve processes, controls, and regulatory/risk compliance across various risk, automation, surveillance & quality assurance functions.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Solid knowledge and understanding of IT processes, systems/application support.
- Banking and Finance Domain Exposure
Functional and technical skills:
- Understand business requirements, goals and objectives, design and create target state solutions
- Ability to breakdown complex projects into capabilities, features, and user stories for development
- Assist to develop product strategy and roadmap based on business priorities
- Domain knowledge on CIB business model, trade lifecycle, financial institutions, and instruments
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Agile JIRA framework) amongst other automation capabilities (UiPath, Alfresco etc.)
- Able to draft & maintain a project charter, performance and delivery metrics, and onward reporting
- Experience on working with data analytics, business intelligence, and data governance to drive tactical and strategic decisions, and execution of plans
- Understanding of business intelligence and visualization like PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, with the ability to be able to a) identify potential opportunities for improvement, b) work with functional managers and technology to drive execution, and c) proactively recommend hybrid solutions, potential bottlenecks impacting delivery timelines
Executive Communication:
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with senior leaders across LOBs globally to create executive ready presentations, including presentation of information and data to persuade, educate, and enhance understanding at all levels
- Drive complex issue management and deliverables into effective outcome-oriented conversations
- Institute sturdy communication channels with business partners to support and manage the delivery of the division’s strategic programs
Change mindset and collaboration:
- Collaborate on change initiatives across the division in a seamless manner, collaborating with global stakeholders; facilitate discussions with leaders and subject matter experts to investigate and solve complex problems
- Identify opportunities for increasing operational efficiencies, perform root cause analysis to propose ideas that improve front to back processing across COO
- Assist in projects on data interfaces between systems such as defining project scope, data requirements and sources/resources; Participate in projects requiring data cleanups, process improvement analysis and reporting
Risk & Control Mindset:
- Assess, review, manage and mitigate risk by measuring key risk indicators (KRIs) through developing and maintaining the key metrics to help teams improve throughput while reducing risk
- Ensure operational practices follow relevant risk standards, policies and regulations to maintain an effective control environment
- Collaborate with operational risk teams to log and monitor Issues and Corrective Actions when operational incidents are identified
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- MBA/equivalent advanced degree, or equivalent experience
- Experience in project management, business execution, risk management, business solutions and/or quality assurance/surveillance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, portray great levels of accountability and attention to detail
- Candidates should be able to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks and projects concurrently, while maintaining quality, accuracy and integrity
- Candidates should have experience presenting information to persuade, educate, and enhance understanding at all levels with the ability to develop and negotiate solutions to issues with partners or clients including escalations as needed
- Candidates should be able to work in a global team, interact at different levels and handle a wide range of deliverables with varying levels of complexities with focus on execution and result
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills to create persuasive PowerPoint presentations; Strong analytical skills leveraging Microsoft Excel/Access
