Business Development Manager – Metrology

TMC The Metrology Company is building a global, OEM-agnostic metrology platform focused on 3D scanning, laser trackers, calibration, and dimensional inspection services.

With operations established in Canada and expanding into the United States, we are now launching our India business unit. Our vision is to build Indias most credible independent metrology company serving aerospace, automotive, heavy industry, and advanced manufacturing.

We are looking for a founding Business Development Manager to help establish our presence across India.

This role is ideal for someone who has experience in metrology equipment sales, dimensional inspection services, or industrial measurement technologies.

Role Overview

You will lead business development and customer acquisition across India, helping build relationships with manufacturers, engineering firms, and quality departments.

This is a high-ownership role with the opportunity to grow as the team expands.

Key Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities for metrology equipment, calibration and inspection services

Drive system sales for 3D scanners, laser trackers, and portable metrology solutions

Identify opportunities for calibrations, contract measurements. inspection, and reverse engineering services

Build relationships with manufacturers, OEMs, and engineering teams

Work closely with global technical teams to deliver the right measurement solutions

Develop relationships with channel partners, integrators, and technology partners

Represent TMC at industry events, customer visits, and technical demonstrations

Provide feedback on market trends, competitors, and pricing dynamics

Ideal Candidate

5+ years experience in industrial sales or metrology solutions

Background with companies such as Hexagon, FARO, Creaform, Zeiss, Nikon, API, or similar is a strong advantage

Experience selling 3D scanning, laser trackers, CMM, systems or inspection services

Strong network within automotive, aerospace, heavy manufacturing, or engineering services

Comfortable working in a startup / growth environment

Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build something from the ground up
