Job Description
Role:
The Business Development Government Sales (GeM) professional will be responsible for driving sales through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal by identifying opportunities, managing bids and tenders, building relationships with government departments/PSUs, and achieving revenue targets from government accounts and this is for Digital Safes Category of Ozone.
Key Responsibilities:
GeM Portal & Government Sales
- Manage end-to-end sales activities on the GeM portal, including product listing, catalog management, bid participation, BOQs, and reverse auctions
- Track and identify new government tenders, bids, and procurement opportunities
- Prepare and submit accurate documentation, quotations, and compliance requirements
- Ensure timely order acceptance, invoicing, and coordination for order fulfillment
Business Development
- Identify and develop new government clients (Central Govt, State Govt, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement officers and key stakeholders
- Achieve monthly/quarterly government sales targets
- Develop pricing strategies in coordination with internal teams
Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, finance, logistics, legal) for smooth execution of orders
- Ensure compliance with government procurement norms, policies, and timelines
- Handle clarifications, negotiations, and post-order support
Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Maintain sales pipeline, MIS reports, and forecasting for government sales
- Monitor competitor activities and government procurement trends
- Provide insights to improve product positioning on (GeM) portal
