Business Development Manager

Industry: Monocarton Manufacturing

Target industries FMCG / Foods / Cosmetics / Liquor / Tobacco / Pharmaceutical / Electronics

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat ( Devraj Industrial Estate, Piplaj )

Department: Sales & Business Development

Reporting to: Plant Head


Role Overview

We are looking for a highly driven Business Development Manager to expand our client base in the premium folding carton packaging segment. The role involves identifying and acquiring high-volume customers across industries such as FMCG, cosmetics, food & beverage, liquor, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods.

The ideal candidate should have strong B2B sales experience, the ability to build relationships with procurement and packaging teams, and a strategic mindset to convert large accounts into long-term partners.



Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition

  • Identify and approach large brands and manufacturers requiring monocarton packaging.
  • Generate leads through industry networks, exhibitions, cold outreach, and referrals.
  • Build relationships with procurement heads, packaging development teams, and brand managers.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire high-volume clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close long-term supply agreements.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and revenue goals.

Key Account Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for volume expansion and new product offerings.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and packaging innovations.
  • Identify new industries and customers with high monocarton consumption.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with production, design, and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Coordinate sample development and prototype approvals with clients.



Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Packaging, or a related field
  • 38 years of B2B sales experience (packaging or printing industry preferred)
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build relationships with procurement and brand teams
  • Experience in industrial or packaging sales is a plus
  • Willing to travel for client meetings
