Role Overview

A full-cycle field sales role. You will identify and approach C&I prospects, build relationships with plant heads and business owners, develop proposals, and close deals independently.


Key Responsibilities


Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify and approach C&I prospects
  • Build a structured prospect database covering target industrial clusters
  • Develop channel relationships
  • Conduct regular cold visits to industrial estates and follow up systematically on all pipeline leads


Sales Execution & Deal Closing

  • Conduct site visits, assess rooftop feasibility, and gather load data required for proposal preparation
  • Work with the internal team to prepare techno-commercial proposals, ROI analysis, and savings projections tailored to each prospect
  • Present proposals, address technical and commercial objections confidently
  • Negotiate commercial terms and drive closure
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from cold approach to signed EPC agreement with minimal escalation to management


Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain regular communication with prospects at all stages of the pipeline
  • Coordinate with the project execution team during handoff post-contract signing to ensure smooth onboarding
  • Leverage completed projects as references and case studies for new prospect outreach

Reporting & Pipeline Management

  • Maintain accurate and updated pipeline records in CRM
  • Submit weekly pipeline reports covering new prospects added, meetings completed, proposals submitted, and deals in closing stage
  • Provide ground-level market intelligence competitor activity, pricing trends, customer objections to management on a regular basis


Required Qualifications

  • 25 years of field sales experience in solar, electrical, construction, or industrial B2B products
  • Demonstrated track record of independently closing B2B deals not just lead generation
  • Familiarity with C&I solar systems basic understanding of Solar
  • Existing relationships in industrial clusters across are a strong advantage


Key Attributes

  • Self-starter with a hunter mentality comfortable initiating cold conversations with plant heads and business owners
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills and ability to handle objections on pricing, payback period, and grid reliability
  • Disciplined pipeline management tracks every lead, follows up consistently, updates CRM without being reminded
  • Fluent in Hindi; working proficiency in English for proposals and emails
