About the Role:


Were looking for a critical thinking Business Analyst to join our fast-paced and result-oriented team. If selected, you have the opportunity to work closely with the revenue team for Higher Education Business at upGrad to track performance at the most granular level to drive sales and marketing efficiencies within the system and be a part of the Growth Engine. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on thinking first principles, solving complex business problems, enjoys working with data, and can translate data into action items.


Youll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to identify opportunities and drive the day-to-day business.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Gather, analyze, and interpret datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to support decision-making
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership in a clear and concise manner
  • Support special projects such as pricing analysis, user behavior studies, or operational efficiency initiatives


Requirements:


  • Bachelors degree from IIT, NIT, or BITS Pilani (Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics preferred)
  • 23 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, data analytics
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI / Tableau, and Google Sheets
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex data into clear insights.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with multiple stakeholders
