Location: GSB, Puducherry India
Position Summary
The Business Analyst is responsible for performing detailed analysis pertaining to a varied range of disciplines including forecast / funnel accuracy, revenue outlook accuracy, Operational waste (such as expedited freight or E&O) or product Lead-time performance. The associate is a subject-matter expert regarding the systems, processes and infrastructure used in this field – particularly in the areas of process analysis, and the application of Six-sigma/Lean methodologies to drive support Rapid Improvement Events, Kaizans, and larger scale projects across the Sales/Planning/Order management environment. This is a hands-on position that will collaborate regularly with the functions of Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Supply Chain, Inventory, Plant Manufacturing, ECC, SRT, Order Fulfillment and other Operations teams.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The analysis provided by this position will have significant impact on the processes & functions of Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Supply Chain, Inventory, Plant Manufacturing, ECC, SRT, Order Fulfillment and other Operations teams to drive out process waste, reduce cycle time, eliminate error, and deliver bottom line results. The associate provides decision support by analyzing data files to uncover root causes and formulate options for the teams to consider. This position will deliver and manage data into the S&OP dashboard; provide monitoring of process capability and drive improvements upstream in partnership with S&OP teams.
The applicant must be able to identify possible root causes and corrective actions to other team members changes in processes, systems or reporting that result in improvements to the process including:
- Provide decision support within CI initiatives to eliminate waste
- Maintain and update the data set to dashboards for cross team reporting and functional Execution.
- Automate data mining, reporting tasks, and ad hoc requests for information and analysis using the company Data Lake, Power BI, Oracle cloud and other IT systems/Dbase.
- Analyze performance against business plans and targets
- Implement new processes, systems, other initiatives to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Develop reporting output to deliver headlights to the business on future financial performance
- Take on and prioritize ad-hoc analysis identifying problem root cause and the impact on organizations or processes.
- Determine ways to change, simplify, or eliminate non-value add processes or activities to eliminate waste.
- Assist in development, testing, documentation, and deployment of standard processes, systems and tools.
- Provide decision support and presentation materials for the Monthly Business Reviews
- Know and understand the business impact of changes and the effects they will have on other processes and tools.
- Be Results Oriented – proactively identifies improvements and issues while meeting deadlines with high quality work.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related discipline.
- IT systems certifications if any.
- 1-4 years of related quantitative/statistical analysis experience in high-tech or a related industry
- 2-4 years additional experience in related business or technical function.
- Experience with analytical tools and relational databases including SQL, Power BI, Phyton, Business Objects, Minitab, QC-3, Advance XL, and Access etc.
- Background in Supply Chain, Master scheduling, forecasting, procurement and planning.
Preferred Requirements
- Strong analytical abilities, detail oriented with focus on extreme accuracy, working knowledge of Advance XL, Phyton, Power BI preferred.
- Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities
- Problem solving skills. Ability to identify issues and opportunities and recommend solutions.
- Demonstrated sound business acumen. Ability to understand and analyze processes to identifying root causes and/or improvements and provide recommendations to management or other team members.
- Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics, turns, margin contributions, etc. and the collaborative skills in resolving long and short positions in inventory.
- Experience working with others to accomplish goals.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills used to forge effective working relationships with key functional associates. Ability to get your thoughts across to others and understand technical details.
- Self-directed, innovative, creative, energetic, and flexible.
