Job Title: Software Business Analyst (BA) Intern

Location: On-site / Hybrid / Remote (as applicable)

Duration: 6 Months Internship

Stipend: As per company policy

Job Summary

We are looking for a Business Analyst Intern to support requirement gathering, documentation, and coordination between business stakeholders and technical teams. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to real-world projects involving software development, process improvement, and client interaction.

This role is ideal for candidates who want to build a career in business analysis, product management, or consulting.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering & Analysis

Assist in gathering business requirements from stakeholders

Participate in client discussions, internal meetings, and workshops

Analyze business needs and translate them into clear requirements

Documentation

Prepare and maintain BRD, FRD, user stories, and use cases

Create process flow diagrams, wireframes, and functional notes

Ensure requirements are clearly documented and version-controlled

Stakeholder & Team Coordination

Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams

Clarify requirements for developers and QA teams

Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT activities

Testing & Validation Support

Assist in UAT planning and execution

Validate developed features against business requirements

Support defect triage and requirement clarifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

Pursuing or completed MBA / BE / BTech / MCA / MSc (IT) or related field

Core Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good communication and documentation skills

Ability to understand business processes and workflows

Attention to detail and logical thinking

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Basic knowledge of SDLC & Agile/Scrum

Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Figma, Balsamiq

Understanding of wireframes, workflows, and user journeys

Basic knowledge of SQL or data analysis concepts
