Are you interested on understanding how Amazon Pay India scales within Amazon? Can you help improve the way we improve customer insights, profitability, customise processes to better suit the needs of APAY looking to expand its customer base?
We are Amazon Pay Data Products team and we are looking to expand the way we build our data products for our Internal Customers with range of Datamarts, Aggregates, Insights and Analytics.
Key job responsibilities
As an APAY Business Analyst you will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments.
You should have deep expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of extremely large datasets.
You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions, and to build data sets that answer those questions.
You should be expert at designing, implementing, and operating stable, scalable, low cost solutions to flow data from production systems into the data warehouse and into end
- user facing applications.
You should be able to work with business customers in understanding the business requirements and implementing reporting solutions.
Above all you should be passionate about bringing large datasets together to answer business questions and drive change.
A day in the life
- Understand Business Requirements (Internal and Business Stake Holders)
- Translate them to Design Document
- Create Metrics X Dimension Matrix
- Design Datamodels for Facts & Dimensions
- Implementation of ETL
- Ownership of datamarts / Enhancements
About the team
We are building the Platform (From scratch) to enable

Single Source of truth that abstracts all data nuances.

Enable Self Serve (via Aggregation & Dashboarding)

Power Advanced Analytics projects
4.
Provide meaningful and implementable insights to Buisness

Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of data analytics or automation experience
- 1+ years of capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or similar experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of data pipelining and extraction using SQL
- Knowledge of SQL and Excel at a moderate or advanced level
- Experience with data mining tools like SQL, SAS, SPSS, or similar

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL/Python/R, scripting, MS Excel, table joins, and aggregate analytical functions
