Job Overview

The Trade and Transaction Reporting function supports the major global reporting obligations including MiFID, EMIR, SFTR, CFTC, HKMA, with the primary role as control owner. This function operates hundreds of rule-based controls across those regulations, validating the completeness, validity, accuracy and timeliness of ~50 million trade and transaction reports sent every month. These controls find data quality issues with the reporting processes which drive an ongoing stream of system fixes and report corrections.

The regulatory reporting regimes for HKMA and CSA are undergoing Rewrites in 2025 which involve an overhaul of the reporting rules and a re-platforming in the case of HKMA. The principle responsibility of this role is to support the T&TR Change lead in areas of test preparation, test execution and production embedding.

Responsibilities & Duties*

• Project team to complete a large back reporting exercise across the following jurisdictions:
• EMEA: FCA/ESMA/MIFID
• Americas: CFTC/CSA/SEC
• The Role Holder will be responsible for;
• Consolidation and analysis of large data sets
• Implementation of efficient optimised operational processes
• Investigate rejections received and make corrections
• Provide a structured delivery plan with tracking for senior management

Experience & Education*

1. Mandatory:Total experience we are looking for in years: 3-5 years; 4-7 yearsRelevant experience we are looking for in years: minimum 2 ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE (in order of importance) Advanced Excel, sql/python experience optimal
2. Excellent regulatory knowledge of trade and transaction reporting Principally EMIR/CFTC
3. Working as a business analyst in regulatory change or operations change to deliver controls
4. Demonstrated experience working with SMEs and key stakeholders to support understanding of the problem/data
5. Data Analysis using excel/other desktop tools essential.
