Role : Salesforce Business Analyst
Location: Hyderabad
Employment Type: Full-time
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Salesforce Business Analyst with 5+
years of hands-on experience in Salesforce implementations, insurance domain
expertise, and strong integration knowledge. This role requires translating complex
business requirements into Salesforce solutions, supporting integration projects across
multiple insurance platforms, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The
ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical
teams to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and drive measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering- Engage with business stakeholders
across Sales, Service, Underwriting, Claims, Policy Administration, and Actuarial
teams to gather detailed requirements.
Conduct workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions to document
current-state and future-state workflows.
Analyze gaps between business processes and system capabilities, and
recommend process improvements leveraging Salesforce functionality.
Translate complex business requirements into functional specifications, user
stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Ensure documentation adheres to internal standards, including traceability from
requirements to delivery.
Salesforce Expertise
Create and maintain detailed reports, dashboards, and analytics to support
Sales, Service, Underwriting, and Claims operations.
Collaborate with Salesforce Admins and Developers to design scalable and
maintainable Salesforce solutions.
Configure and optimize Salesforce components such as Objects, Fields, Record
Types, Page Layouts, Lightning App Builder, Validation Rules, and Flows where
necessary.
Partner with QA and UAT teams to validate solutions meet requirements,
including functional testing of Salesforce enhancements.
Integration & Data Management
Document integration requirements, data mappings, and transformation rules
to support middleware tools such as Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, or Informatica.
Act as a liaison for integration initiatives between Salesforce and core insurance
systems such as Policy Administration Systems (PAS), Claims Management
Systems (CMS), Underwriting Tools, Billing Systems, and external data
providers.
Validate data flows, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accuracy and
consistency across integrated systems.
Support large-scale data migration, cleansing, and enrichment initiatives while
maintaining compliance with insurance data regulations.
Process Improvement & Optimization.
Ensure process optimization aligns with insurance regulations, compliance
policies, and organizational governance.
Identify opportunities to automate manual business processes using Salesforce
declarative tools and integrations
Recommend best practices for workflow optimization, data governance, and
system usage.
Assist in the evaluation of new Salesforce products or modules (CPQ, Field
Service Lightning, Marketing Cloud) to enhance business operations.
Stakeholder Communication & Training
Develop training materials, conduct workshops, and facilitate knowledge
transfer to business users.
Serve as a primary point of contact for business stakeholders regarding
Salesforce solutions, process improvements, and integration updates
Maintain detailed documentation of processes, requirements, functional
specifications, test cases, and post-implementation guides.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of Salesforce Business Analyst experience with exposure to complex
Salesforce environments.
Strong insurance domain knowledge, including Policy Administration, Claims
Management, Underwriting, and Regulatory Compliance.
Hands-on experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom
object development.
Deep understanding of Salesforce integration strategies, APIs, middleware, and
data exchange with external systems.
Expertise in creating detailed functional specifications, business process
documentation, and user stories.
Experience in UAT management, testing coordination, and post-deployment
support.
Familiarity with declarative automation tools such as Salesforce Flow,
Validation Rules, and Process Builder.
Knowledge of data governance, quality management, and compliance
requirements specific to the insurance industry.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to convey technical
concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project management capabilities with the ability to handle multiple

Preferred Certifications
Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM 201)
Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant or Service Cloud Consultant
Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA
Salesforce Integration Architecture or MuleSoft certifications are a plus
Additional Desirable Skills
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and experience working in Agile
delivery teams.
Understanding of insurance regulatory standards (Solvency II, IFRS17, local
insurance regulations).
Experience with CPQ, Marketing Cloud, or Field Service Lightning in insurance
implementations.
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI for business
analytics.
