Business Analyst

1.    Workflow Optimization:

a.    Map and analyse clinical and non-clinical processes (OPD, IPD, Diagnostics, Pharmacy).

b.    Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and recommend process redesigns.

2.    Time & Motion Studies:

a.    Conduct detailed observation-based studies to evaluate time taken for patient journeys and staff tasks.

b.    Recommend improvements in layout or steps to reduce time wastage.

3.    Resource Utilization & Capacity Planning:

a.    Monitor usage patterns of beds, equipment, staff, and facilities.

b.    Support optimal scheduling to align with demand patterns and peak load.

4.    Performance Monitoring & Dashboards:

a.    Assist in building and maintaining interactive dashboards for key metrics (e.g., OPD TAT, bed occupancy, lab TAT).

b.    Prepare performance scorecards for departments.

5.     Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):

a.    Document and update SOPs in collaboration with department heads.

6.     Manpower Planning & Shift Optimization:

a.    Analyse staffing patterns vs patient load.

b.    Support intelligent duty roster creation for doctors, nurses, and technicians.

7.     Queue Management & Appointment Systems:

a.    Study current systems and patient feedback.

b.    Recommend improvements for reducing wait times and no-shows.

8.     Facility Layout Planning:

a.    Support re-layout projects for better space utilization and movement flow.

b.    Collaborate with architects or admin teams when needed.
