Job Description

Responsibilities

:

Deduction Management:

  • Investigate and resolve all trade deductions received from retail customers, including but not limited to short pays, chargebacks, claims, rebates, allowances, and repays.
  • Analyze deductions to identify missing documentation based on existing policies and determine next steps for resolution.
  • Prepare and present supporting documentation for deduction disputes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all deductions and disputes.
  • Collaborate with sales teams, customer service, and accounting to ensure timely and accurate deduction resolution.
  • Clear deductions while adhering to monthly process metrics.
  • Analyze datasets related to deductions in various formats (e.g., images, PDFs, Excel) and utilize insights for the deduction clearing process.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Leadership & Client Support:

  • Act as the primary first-line resource for teammates, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and on-the-job training.
  • Lead performance metric reporting, sharing key insights with clients and leadership.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring expectations are met and issues are proactively addressed.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in deduction management.

Required Skills & Experience:

Required

  • Experience working with trade deductions for CPG retailers and manufacturers.
  • Working knowledge of the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and/or Grocery/Retail industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Experience in Order to Cash processes, specifically Deductions Management and Trade Promotions Management.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, sales teams, and accounting departments.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to identify, understand, and resolve complex deduction and dispute issues.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles, concepts, and practices.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and HighRadius is a plus.
  • Experience with retailers or consumer packaged goods manufacturers, such as (but not limited to): Walmart, Target, Kroger, Costco, Amazon, Publix, Procter & Gamble (P&G), Unilever, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Nestl, Johnson & Johnson, Mondelez, Kellogg's, Albertsons, Church & Dwight, Colgate, Energizer, Mizkan, Haleon, Keurig Dr Pepper, Maruchan, McCormick, Henkel, T. Marzetti, StarKist, Upfield, Mars, SC Johnson, Bozzuto's, and HEB.

"The approximate hourly base compensation range for this position is $27 to $30 per hour.
