BTP AI Developer

The Role:

As an SAP BTP AI developer at Cognitus, we are looking for an experienced SAP BTP Joule & Agentic AI Developer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered copilots and autonomous agents on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

This role focuses on implementing SAP Joule, generative AI use cases, and Agentic AI architectures that can reason, plan, and execute business tasks across SAP and non-SAP systems while adhering to clean-core principles and enterprise AI governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build Joule-based AI copilots embedded into SAP applications
• Design Agentic AI workflows capable of multi-step reasoning and task execution
• Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) using enterprise SAP data
• Integrate AI services with SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, etc.
• Ensure AI security, observability, and compliance
• Configure and extend SAP Joule capabilities inside SAP applications
• Design contextual AI prompts aligned to SAP business objects

Skills Required:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Core SAP BTP development.
• Hands-on experience in SAP BTP Joule, Joule Studio, Gen AI Hub, Agentic AI.
• SAP BTP AI Foundation: Deep expertise in SAP AI Core, Generative AI Hub, and the SAP Build suite (Build Apps, Build Code, Build Process Automation).
• Agentic Frameworks: Experience with Joule Studio's Agent Builder or external frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python (for AI/ML logic) and Node.js, Java, JSON /REST / OAuth ,ABAP Cloud for BTP service integration.
• Search & Data: Working knowledge of Vector Databases, semantic search, and the SAP Knowledge Graph for accurate AI reasoning.
• Development Models: Strong understanding of the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and Fiori/UI5 for AI-driven user experiences.
