Job Description:
The Customs Brokerage Revenue Management Specialist supports the Brokerage Manager in driving profitability and operational excellence across brokerage operations within the Middle East, Africa, and India (MEAI) region. This role focuses on analyzing financial performance, identifying revenue opportunities, improving reporting accuracy, and supporting cross-functional initiatives in collaboration with country-level teams. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of customs brokerage processes and financial data interpretation.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Analysis & Optimization
- Support the design and implementation of revenue management strategies across the MEAI region
- Analyze transactional data, cost structures, and service metrics to uncover revenue enhancement and cost-saving opportunities
- Assist in identifying and tracking revenue leakages; work with stakeholders to implement corrective measures and monitor impact
Reporting & Data Management
- Prepare recurring and ad-hoc revenue performance reports, dashboards, and forecasts
- Assist in compiling weekly reports and monthly Business Performance Review (BPR) data for regional leadership, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Maintain and improve data templates and tools used for financial reporting and revenue tracking
Financial Performance Support
- Work with the finance team to review monthly P&L statements, investigate anomalies, and ensure data integrity across reporting platforms
- Support preparation of financial presentations and executive summaries that offer actionable insights to management
Regional Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with country-level brokerage and finance teams across MEAI to gather insights, validate data, and drive consistency in reporting
- Support the Brokerage Manager in responding to queries related to customs processes, laws, and revenue implications
- Contribute to cross-functional projects involving sales, compliance, and operations, particularly where financial evaluation is required (e.g., RFQs, pricing waivers, etc.)
Process Improvement & Systems Support
- Assist in reviewing current brokerage processes to identify efficiency gains and areas for improvement
- Become proficient in in-house systems and tools, supporting efforts to automate or enhance data management processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field – Required
- 1–3 years of experience in finance, data analysis, customs brokerage, or logistics – Preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data visualization) and PowerPoint
- Analytical thinker with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial analysis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across countries and cultures
- Eagerness to learn internal systems and tools and contribute proactively to team initiatives
Desirable Skills & Competencies
- Prior experience in customs brokerage or international logistics operations
- Exposure to regional markets in the Middle East, Africa, and India
- Familiarity with financial reporting systems or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt in a dynamic environment
