Role & responsibilities
Looking for a 4 to 6 year experienced Brand Strategist with experience in decoding cultural insights and using that data to work directly with the Business Director on branding, packaging, semiotics, naming, and retail presence.
- Map the visual and cultural codes of competing fragrance and grooming brands in India
- Help build the brands colour, typography, and packaging logic
- Support bottle design, label structure, and SKU hierarchy
- Work on naming, storytelling, and product positioning
- Support retail display and shelf strategy for offline stores
- Collaborate with designers, vendors, and external agencies
- Help build a long-term brand identity system from scratch
Preferred candidate profile
- 4 to 6 years experience in brand strategy, design strategy, or packaging-led roles
- Experience at a branding/design agency, FMCG brand team, or packaging studio preferred
- Strong visual literacy and understanding of consumer perception
- Ability to move from insight execution quickly
- Comfortable working closely with a founder in a fast-moving Business verticle
- Curious about culture, retail behaviour, and how brands signal value
You do not need to be a pure academic semiotician.
- You need to be observant, visually sharp, and commercially aware.
