Branch Manager- Sales & Operation(On-Site)
Location- Bengaluru, Chennai
CTC: UPTO 12LPA
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager- Sales & Operation to lead our branch operations, with a strong focus on driving sales and customer retention. In this full-time, on-site role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing effective sales and retention strategies, while also leading, training, and motivating your team to meet and exceed targets. You will work closely with other departments, including marketing, underwriting, and claims, to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry.
- Demonstrated success in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record.
- Strong ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a sales and retention team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering superior service.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance products and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients in commercial lines/products. Ensure client satisfaction and retention through regular, targeted communication and value-added services.
- Cross-Selling:Identify opportunities for cross-selling and reference selling, leveraging your in-depth product knowledge.
- Quoting & RFQs:Manage the procurement of quotes from insurers, preparation of RFQs, and development of quote comparison reports.
- Claims & Loss Analysis:Utilize analytical skills to understand client losses and claims, providing structured interaction with insurance managers.
- Product Expertise:Exhibit expert-level domain knowledge in Property, Projects, and Marine Insurance, offering tailored solutions to meet client needs.
- Service & Delivery Monitoring:Oversee the continuous monitoring of routine services, including endorsement issuance, claims servicing, and policy servicing. Conduct regular review meetings with clients to ensure service excellence.
- Custom Solutions:Devise and present custom-built or tailored insurance covers to clients, based on their specific requirements.
- Claims Analysis & Presentations:Prepare detailed claims analysis reports and presentations for client interactions, ensuring thorough and professional communication.
- Internal Coordination:Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including operations, claims, and sales, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Insurer Relationship Management:Foster and manage strong relationships with insurers, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients and the company.
- Market & Regulatory Updates:Stay informed of market trends and regulatory updates to provide clients with the most relevant and compliant solutions.
- New Business Development:Drive sales of all insurance products by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities. Act as the primary contact for dedicated prospects or clients, with a strong focus on new business growth.
Key Accountabilities:
- Business Growth:Be accountable for developing new business, achieving, and exceeding new business targets.
- Sales Pipeline Management:Continuously identify new revenue generation opportunities, maintaining a steady flow of prospects in the sales pipeline.
- Client Understanding:Gain a deep understanding of each clients industry and risks, matching them with appropriate global solutions.
- Product Demonstrations:Conduct structured product demonstrations and client/prospect visits to showcase value propositions.
- CRM Management:Manage the sales funnel by regularly updating all client opportunities and leads in the CRM system, ensuring timely progression through the sales cycle.
- Revenue & Accuracy:Ensure accurate revenue placement in the CRM system and timely invoicing post-receipt of necessary documents. Maintain the accuracy of information entered in the policy system.
- Client Portfolio Management:Maintain an active portfolio of prospect accounts, targeting them throughout the year with regular client meetings.
- Negotiations & Placement:Work closely with the central Placement team to negotiate and procure quotes for new business, articulating the value delivered by the company and leading remuneration negotiations.
- Client Relations & Renewals:Collaborate with Account Managers and team members to maintain strong client relationships, ensuring cross-sells and renewals.
- Industry Representation:Participate in trade shows, conferences, marketing, and PR campaigns to enhance the visibility and reputation of the companys products and services.
- Regulatory Compliance:Ensure full compliance with IRDAI and other regulatory requirements, as well as internal business procedures, including CRM usage and insurer security policies.

Experience:
- Mandatory: Relevant sales experience in Insurance Broking or the insurance industry.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 15 years of experience in General Insurance industry or related field (preferably from an insurance broking background).
- Excellent B2B Sales skills with ability to handle corporate clients effectively.
- Proven track record in Area Sales Management or Branch Sales/Retention roles.
- Strong understanding of Property Insurance products and services.
