Job summary
We are seeking a Team Lead professional with 7+ years of experience to join our US payroll processing team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in payroll processing, taxation, legal regulation & yearend activities (W2 & W2C) for US region. This role is hybrid, with night shifts and no travel required. The successful candidate will contribute to optimizing our business processes and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- As a US Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and executing all aspects of the payroll process for our US workforce. This includes ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations and providing exceptional service to employees regarding payroll matters.
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time for all US employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records.
- Handle and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and compliance reports.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate employee data.
- Assist in audits and provide records as required.
- Implement and enhance payroll-related systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with federal and state payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle confidential information.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
- Should have experience in ERPs such as ADP and SAP Have in-depth knowledge of US Payroll processes and regulations.
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Show proficiency in developing and maintaining documentation for business processes.
- Display the ability to monitor and improve system performance.
- Ensure data integrity and security within the SAP and ADP environment.
- Participate in system upgrades and testing.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Payroll software proficiency (e.g., ADP, SAP, Workday).MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations.
