Community Lead - RR

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and digital-savvy Community Lead to build, nurture, and grow a vibrant online community for writers. In this role, you will be the primary voice of our brand, fostering relationships between authors, readers, and our publishing team, while building brand loyalty and awareness for our upcoming titles.

Responsibilities

• Community Engagement: Foster a welcoming environment for writers and book lovers, moderating discussions, and responding to comments and messages on the app.
• Content Strategy & Creation: Develop an editorial calendar, create engaging content (including videos, posts, stories, and live sessions), and coordinate with the marketing team to align with book launch campaigns.
• Author & Reader Relations: Cultivate relationships with readers, fan clubs, and influencers to drive engagement, reviews, and community-led initiatives.
• Event Coordination: Plan and host events (online and offline), such as author Q&As, virtual book launches, and book club discussions.
• Social Listening & Analytics: Monitor brand sentiment and industry trends, track community metrics (engagement rates, follower growth), and report on insights to help shape future marketing strategies.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in community management, social media management, or a similar role, preferably in the Tamil publishing space.
• Passion for Books: Deep knowledge of the publishing industry and a genuine love for reading and literature.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Tamil & English
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using social media platforms
• Creativity: Creative thinker with experience in content creation (graphics, videos) and storytelling.
• Empathy & Problem-Solving: High emotional intelligence, patience, and the ability to resolve conflicts or handle negative feedback

Nice to Haves

• Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Experience with community platforms like Discord, Slack, or Reddit.
• Previous experience working directly with authors or in public relations.
