BOM Specialist

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Create, update, and maintain accurate BOMs for automotive components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. From design intent to final production stage.
Reviewing project BOM documents and maintaining existing ones in internal design management database.
Manage multi-level BOMs, ensuring proper linkage and structure for complex automotive products.
Ensure timely release of relevant documents to the PLM team after alignment with CMF designers, engineering specifications, design changes, and manufacturing requirements.
Being responsible for handling change control.
Supporting design and prototype staff during the design and prototype phase of new product development.
Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure content of BOM / Timing is always up to date.
Setting much needed timeline of all project BOM releases and compiling relevant status reports.
Maintain a controlled process for BOM versioning to track revisions and updates.
Act as a liaison between design, production, and supply chain teams to resolve BOM-related challenges.

Experience

2+ years of experience in BOM management or related role.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and data management skills. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing or related field. 2+ years of experience in BOM management or related role

General Requirements

Professional ability: Familiar with automotive design and development process, database management & engineering materials. Proficient in the usage of MS office, especially Excel.
Fluent in English with good communication skills and teamwork
