Biomedical Engineer

Position

We seek a Biomedical Engineer to join our Biomedical Engineering team. This role involves maintaining medical equipment, reducing downtime, conducting preventive maintenance, and supporting end-user training to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance & Operations
• Perform daily maintenance of biomedical equipment to minimize downtime.
• Execute preventive maintenance as per schedule.
• Attend to breakdown calls promptly and follow up with vendors for contracted or under-warranty equipment.
• Training & Communication
• Conduct end-user training for medical equipment.
• Communicate effectively with the Assistant Manager / Senior Biomedical Engineer to meet departmental goals.
• Coordinate with user departments to understand and address equipment-related needs.
• Asset Management
• Assist in commissioning and tagging new equipment.
• Maintain an updated inventory of equipment across departments.
• Manage equipment warranties and insurance claims.
• Safety & Compliance
• Document and report all equipment-related incidents.
• Help ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Support quality assurance and ISO standards implementation.
• Inventory & Spare Management
• Maintain minimum stock of essential spare parts.
• Initiate requisitions for spare parts and track usage.
• Order PPM parts in advance to ensure timely maintenance.
• Cost & Risk Management
• Support cost control efforts by managing spare part quality and usage.
• Initiate and document insurance claims as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering.
• 1-5 years of experience in a top hospital.
