BIM Specialist - Bentley

The Bentley BIM Specialist/Designer is a trusted technical resource responsible for producing accurate rail and transit engineering contract documents including 3D structures and facilities - in accordance with client and agency drafting standards. This role supports multidisciplinary engineering teams by ensuring all deliverables meet established design requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and revise rail and transit engineering drawings in compliance with client and agency CAD standards.
• Model 3D Structures and Facilities using BIM-integrated Engineering Applications (OpenBuildings) and supplement core platform drawings with BIM-enhanced technologies and workflows (MicroStation Item Types).
• Translate engineering markups and design inputs into accurate, coordinated contract documents.
• Ensure drawing quality, consistency, and compliance across track, civil, structural, and systems disciplines.
• Manage CAD files, references, and sheet sets in accordance with project requirements.
• Incorporate client and agency review comments and support project design milestones.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional services or engineering consulting environment.
• Proficiency with CAD and BIM tools - MicroStation and supporting its BIM-enabled workflows.
• Experience with Bentley BIM engineering applications: OpenBuildings Designer (required) OpenRoads/OpenRail Designer, OpenRoads Drainage and Utilities (plusses).
• Experience in ProjectWise or Bentley Construction Cloud multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience with equivalent Autodesk products a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and experience with Bluebeam Revu workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
