What would you do? Dalfen Industrial is one of the largest private equity owner, operator, and developer of industrial real estate. The firm has raised multiple private equity funds, and currently manages over 35 million square feet, and has transacted on over $7.6 billion of deals. Dalfen is vertically integrated across 12 offices, offering a challenging and fast-paced work environment. The Corporate banking /Wholesale banking team is responsible for helping clients and organizations processes trade finance transactions by providing superior service delivery to trade customers whilst safeguarding the bank from risks associated with this business. Computes and presents the results of financial events by administering,managing and processing general ledger accounts. Accounts for current assets, fixed assets, liabilities, revenue and expense items, and gains and losses, and may handle related tax issues, invoice management and budgeting.
What are we looking for? We are looking for an experienced Fund Accountant to join the Dallas team. In addition to an excellent grasp and understanding of accounting, the right person should be analytical with accurate attention to detail, have proven experience with YARDI, as well as excellent communication skills. Good working knowledge of US GAAP and private equity accounting and reporting Ability to work in a good team environment, including working with colleagues from other groups Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop sound solutions Minimum 2 -3 years accounting experience with real estate knowledge Bachelors degree in accounting or other related field is preferred for this position. Professional Accounting designation program (CA, CGA, CMA, CPA) an asset Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships Computer Skills: intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite and Yardi Voyager
Roles and Responsibilities: Assists in ensuring month-end closings, preparation and entry of monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations and ensuring that maintenance of cash flow is being completed promptly and accurately. Review of financial statements to ensure accuracy and investigate discrepancies in budget. Compile, analyze and prepare funds financial data and operating metrics. Maintain books in accordance with US GAAP, including performing consolidations Prepare financial reports quarterly and annually Review capital call and distribution calculations, notices, and correspondence to investors Review management fee calculations and waterfall calculations Review books and financial statements as prepared by administrator Work with administrator and provide support as needed Assist with queries from investors Build year-end file for audits and any other ad hoc requests from management. Performs other tasks as directed by any person authorized to give such instructions or assignments.
