We are an e-commerce company that has been in business for over 2+ years, with a growing team of 30+ employees. We operate from our offices in Bangalore.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Developer with 34 years of hands-on experience building scalable, high-performance backend systems using Node.js and modern server-side technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in API development, database design, background processing, caching, and cloud-based deployment on AWS .

Backend Development

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js (Express.js / NestJS).
• Develop scalable backend services with clean architecture, robust validation, and secure authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth).
• Work extensively with PostgreSQL , writing optimized queries, indexes, and migrations.
• Implement caching and pub/sub mechanisms using Redis .
• Build and manage background jobs and queues using BullMQ .
• Ensure system reliability through unit and integration testing.

Devops & Cloud

• Deploy and manage applications on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc.).
• Set up Docker-based environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor application performance, logs, and errors to ensure high availability and scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL .
• Hands-on experience with Redis and BullMQ .
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with Git (GitHub/GitLab).
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud deployments.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 34 years of professional backend development experience.

Optional / Nice to have

• Experience with Python or Ruby .
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
• Experience with serverless services (AWS Lambda).
• Knowledge of performance optimization and backend security best practices.
