Backend Engineer (Django/ Springboot); 4+ years/ GIS

Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.

* Optimize performance, security, and reliability of production systems.

* Own entire codebases and improve them over time while addressing technical debt.

* Work on cloud-based architectures using GCP, Pub/Sub, and Postgres/PostGIS.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend, product, and sales teams.

* Ensure high-quality software through effective coding practices and reviews.

* Lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and drive innovation.

Good to have:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

* 4+ years of experience in backend development.

* Strong expertise in Django/FastAPI or Spring Boot (mandatory).

* Experience with databases like Postgres/PostGIS, Redis.

* Familiarity with cloud services (GCP, Pub/Sub) and GIS technologies (GDAL, Geoserver).

* Proficiency in designing scalable, high-performance architectures.

* Ability to optimize APIs and ensure security best practices.

* Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
