• As a Java Backend Engineer in the dbflow squad, you will be instrumental in building and evolving backend services that power intelligent automation for Private Bank Germany.
• You will design and implement robust, scalable modules, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure seamless integration with BPM tools and cloud-native platforms.
• Collaborating closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams, you will help shape the technical foundation of our digital transformation journey.

Your key responsibilities

• Design and develop core backend modules for automation services.
• Participate in customer and stakeholder meetings to align on technical solutions.
• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment infrastructure.
• Break down complex tasks, estimate effort, and deliver iteratively.
• Conduct peer reviews, mentor junior engineers, and uphold code quality.
• Write unit and integration tests, and resolve bugs efficiently.

Your skills and experience

• 8+ years of Java development experience with strong Java Core knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with BPM tools (Camunda preferred).
• Proficiency in Spring, Hibernate/MyBatis, REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Maven, JIRA, Git Stash, and Confluence.
• Experience with Oracle databases, SQL, Tomcat, and WebLogic Server.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred) and containerized environments (OpenShift, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of design patterns and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with frontend technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Grunt, Bootstrap, Angular, NodeJS).
• Google cloud experience
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL knowledge.
• Familiarity with runtime analytics and digital certificate handling.
