Backend Engineer - Python

We are looking for a Lead Python Engineer with a robust background in Python, FastAPI or Django, and database management. The ideal candidate will excel in problem-solving, have experience with scalable microservices, and possess a strong understanding of data model design. Knowledge of Deploying Machine Learning models to production — Inference service architecture patterns is a significant advantage. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications while ensuring high code quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead by example and mentor a team of Python developers, providing technical guidance and support.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust web applications using Python, FastAPI, or Django.

• Act as an individual contributor, driving key components of the project.

• Develop and manage scalable microservices architecture.

• Design and optimize database schemas and queries.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and scalability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements:

Years of experience: 6-8 years

• Proven experience as a Python Engineer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

• Extensive hands-on experience with FastAPI or Django frameworks.

• Proficiency in designing and managing databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).

• Experience with scalable microservices architecture.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus.
