Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a skilledBackend Developerwith a minimum of3+ years of professional experiencein backend development, includingat least 1 year working with Nest.js. You willbe responsible fordesigning, building, andmaintainingscalable server-side applications, developing RESTful APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions using modern technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, andmaintainbackend services and APIs usingNest.js and TypeScript.
- Architect scalable, reusable, and efficient server-side components.
- Work with databases (SQL or NoSQL) to design andoptimiseschemas, queries, and data access layers.
- Ensure API performance, security, and reliability following best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, andoptimisebackend systems for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to meet technical goals and deliver results.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of standards and practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum3+ years of professional backend development experience.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Nest.jsin production projects.
- StrongproficiencyinJavaScript and TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles.
- Experience with database systems such asPostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, or similar.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g.,Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience withmicroservices architecture.
- Knowledge of containerization tools such asDocker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)will be a plus.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorisation (JWT, OAuth).
