About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer (Java) to build scalable, cloud-native microservices for our Banking client for a Home Loan Integration & Implementation program. You will play a key role in modernizing legacy systems by designing resilient APIs and enabling seamless integrations across origination, servicing, channels, and partner systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native microservices using Java Spring Boot
• Build integration layers connecting loan origination, servicing, channels, and legacy platforms.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services for enterprise applications.
• Implement event-driven workflows using Dapr and Temporal
• Ensure secure, high-performance data access using YugabyteDB
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Contribute to unit testing, code reviews, and quality assurance
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
• Implement strangler-pattern modernization by gradually replacing legacy systems
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize backend services

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 35 years of experience in backend development using Java
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot & Microservices architecture
• Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance systems
• Understanding of event-driven architecture & distributed systems
• Experience with REST APIs and integration patterns
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL/NoSQL)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile environments Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
• Experience with Dapr, Temporal, or workflow orchestration tools
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience in financial services or lending domain Expected Outcomes
