Back End Developer

Job Description Summary:-

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer (Core Java & SQL) to join the Service Analytics team within the Health Suite Service Analytics Platform (HSSAP) business unit. The role focuses on building scalable backend services, platform components, and data-processing workflows that support analytics solutions across multiple business units. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and data modelling, and will contribute across the full software development lifecyclefrom design to deploymentworking closely with UI developers, product teams, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:-

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and platform components using Core Java and Spring Boot

Build and expose RESTful APIs with business logic for frontend applications and external integrations.

Collaborate closely with UI developers to ensure seamless end-to-end workflows Contribute to data modelling, SQL development, and data integration logic.

Develop well-tested, clean, and well-documented code following best practices.

Participate in the full development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment

Work in a collaborative pairing mode and actively contribute to technical discussions

Lead or contribute to software design, challenging requirements and ensuring high quality technical solutions

Participate in design reviews, system testing, and resolution of integration issues

Support product verification and validation activities in coordination with stakeholders

Deploy applications through CI/CD pipelines and support production releases.

Required Skills & Experience

48 years of hands-on experience in Core Java development Strong experience with Java 8, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and RESTful services

Solid understanding of data modelling and SQL scripting

Experience with Hibernate and JDBC Template

Hands-on experience with build and CI tools such as Maven, Jenkins, and Mockito

Experience working with Git/TFS and managing code through version control

Familiarity with the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Hands-on experience using IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have

Experience or exposure to ETL development

Hands-on experience with AWS services

Experience working with messaging or streaming platforms such as RabbitMQ or Kafka

Prior experience working on analytics or data platforms
