Position Summary

Our client is building a next-generation Warehouse-as-a-Service (WaaS) platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and is looking for an experienced Senior Analyst Backend Developer .

This role involves designing and developing secure, scalable, and high-performance backend services using microservices architecture. The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise across GCP services such as GKE, App Engine, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions , and strong exposure to databases like AlloyDB, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud SQL .

You will collaborate closely with front-end, DevOps, architecture, and global cross-functional teams while delivering robust backend solutions that support mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development & Architecture

• Design, build, and maintain backend microservices and APIs on GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine, and Cloud Functions .
• Develop secure, scalable REST and GraphQL APIs to power front-end applications and external integrations.
• Work with GCP Architects to ensure architectural alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.

Database & Integration

• Build and optimize integration layers across AlloyDB, Cloud Spanner, Cloud SQL , and external systems.
• Implement robust data models, schema design, and query optimization strategies.
• Ensure seamless integration with third-party APIs and internal microservices.

Deployment & DevOps

• Deploy backend services using Gemini Code Assist , GCP CLI tools, and Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with DevOps to ensure automated, secure, and efficient deployments.
• Optimize backend applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Security & Compliance

• Implement authentication, authorization, RBAC, and security controls using GCP Identity Platform / IAM .
• Ensure compliance with cloud security standards, data governance, and enterprise policies.

AI/ML Integration

• Work with GCP AI/ML services such as Vertex AI, Document AI, NLP APIs to incorporate intelligent automation and predictive capabilities into backend workflows.

Collaboration & Code Quality

• Collaborate with front-end engineering teams to define efficient API payloads and data contracts.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce clean coding practices, and contribute to backend standards.

Experience & Qualifications

• 68 years of backend development experience, with 3+ years in a senior/lead analyst capacity.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Java (any one or more).
• Hands-on experience with GCP services : GKE, App Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions.
• Strong knowledge of AlloyDB, Cloud Spanner, Cloud SQL , including schema design and optimization.
• Proven experience in REST and GraphQL API development and integration patterns.
• Familiarity with Gemini Code Assist and CLI-based deployment workflows.
• Strong understanding of Git-based CI/CD pipelines , DevOps processes, and containerization.
• Experience integrating AI/ML tools or APIs into backend solutions.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, compliance requirements , and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a distributed/global team environment .
