Back End Developer

Job Title: Back-end Engineers (Java/NodeJS)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Back-end Engineer with strong experience in Java and/or Node.js to join our global engineering team. The ideal candidate brings solid engineering fundamentals, experience building scalable backend systems, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating across distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java and/or Node.js.
• Build APIs using OpenAPI / spec-first design principles.
• Contribute to system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
• Develop and maintain production-ready systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.
• Debug and resolve production issues efficiently in an Agile environment.
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams (product, frontend, DevOps).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous delivery.
• Ensure high-quality code through reviews, testing, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one of the following:
• Java
• Node.js

Solid understanding of:

• Software engineering fundamentals
• Data structures and algorithms
• System and API design
• Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs (OpenAPI preferred).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and production environments.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a global organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for remote collaboration.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• High ownership mindset, strong commitment to deliveries, and reliability in honoring start dates.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with U.S. and/or global clients.
• Exposure to microservices architectures.

Hands-on experience with:

• CI/CD pipelines
• Containerization (Docker)
• Kubernetes (K8s)
• Experience working with distributed teams across time zones, especially IndiaNorth America overlap.

Experience building or working with:

• Connectors, agents, or integration platforms
• Data catalog, metadata management, or data lineage systems
• Familiarity with spec-first or design-first development approaches.
