Back End Developer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Back-End Developer with 25 years of real-time project experience in Java . The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure back-end systems that power web and enterprise applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot in EdTech platforms.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs powering interactive learning tools and analytics dashboards.
• Build and maintain microservices architecture with focus on reusability, API standardization, and inter-service communication through REST.
• Work with Hibernate or JPA to manage persistence layers and entity relationships efficiently.
• Integrate data from MySQL/MS SQL to support real-time insights and progress tracking systems.
• Build and maintain applications using Docker and deploy them on AWS or Azure.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, instructional designers, and data analysts to translate EdTech needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop unit tests and automation scripts using JUnit and Mockito, maintaining high code quality and test coverage.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum sprints in code reviews, continuous integration (CI/CD) processes, assist with refactoring legacy Java code, and contribute to establishing backend coding standards.
• Manage version control with Git and task tracking via JIRA.
• Optional: Contribute to Android app development to expand platform accessibility.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience as a Back-End Developer in real-time projects
• Proficiency in backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and JSP.
• Experience with REST API design, microservices, and unit testing.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud deployment (AWS or Azure).
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MS SQL, and MongoDB.
• Working understanding of React, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript ES6+.
• Good problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
• Understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jira and agile development practices.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with the Laravel PHP framework AND/OR Node.js for building server-side web applications.
• Experience with React Native for building mobile apps.
• Experience or familiarity with Power BI.
• Exposure to education-focused technologies such as LMS integration, adaptive learning APIs, or content management systems.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure.
• Awareness of data analytics, personalized learning, or AI-enabled education tools.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive learning mindset aligned with EdTech innovation goals.
