Job Description

Roles: Sales Development & Business Development

Location: Mumbai (Office based | Mon - Fri)

Shift Timings : 6pm - 3am IST

Target Market: North America

Compensation : 7L - 15L fix + 25% variables


We are building a strong Inside Sales team in India to support our international growth and are hiring for two roles within the sales function:

  • Sales Development (Lead Generation & Qualification)
  • Business Development (End-to-End Closures)

Candidates will be aligned to one of these roles based on experience and capability.


Role Overview

This is an inside sales role focused on engaging CXOs and senior decision-makers at import/export companies in North America. Depending on the role, you will either drive top-of-the-funnel activities or manage the full sales cycle through deal closure.

You will work US business hours and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including credit, operations, and onboarding.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Development (SDR / Lead Generation)

  • Research and identify target import/export companies in North America
  • Execute outbound outreach via cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn
  • Engage with CXOs, Founders, CFOs, and Heads of import/export companies
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria (trade volume, financing needs, company profile)
  • Schedule qualified meetings for the Business Development team
  • Maintain accurate activity and lead data in CRM
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly outreach and meeting targets


Business Development (Closing Role)

  • Engage with qualified leads generated by the SDR team
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand clients trade flows and financing requirements
  • Present and position trade finance solutions in a consultative manner
  • Manage the complete sales cycle: discovery proposal negotiation closure
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with CXO-level stakeholders
  • Coordinate internally with credit and operations teams for deal execution
  • Maintain pipeline, forecasts, and deal updates in CRM
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 17 years of experience in inside sales, sales development, or business development
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Experience selling or prospecting into international markets (North America preferred)
  • Comfortable engaging with CXO-level decision-makers
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Target-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working US time zones
