Role Overview
CVant is seeking a B2B Business Development & Growth Consultant to drive end-to-end B2B sales closures while also supporting select management and enablement functions such as hiring support, sales team coordination, reporting, and sales enablement.
This role is ideal for professionals who can own closures independently , leverage their existing networks , and also contribute to strengthening internal business processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. B2B Business Development (Primary Responsibility)
- Own the end-to-end B2B sales cycle , including:
- Lead identification through company-provided data, professional references, personal networks, industry contacts, sourcing platforms, and prior business experience
- Outreach and follow-ups via email, calls, and meetings
- Client pitching and solution presentation
- Proposal coordination, negotiation, and commercial alignment
- Complete conversion and deal closure ownership
- Build and maintain a qualified B2B pipeline with structured tracking
- Ensure smooth handover to delivery teams post-closure
- Drive higher-value deals, repeat business, and long-term B2B relationships
2. Sales Team Handling & Enablement
- Coordinate with internal sales and support teams for:
- Lead follow-ups and pipeline movement
- Deal readiness and closure support
- Support creation and refinement of:
- Pitch decks, proposals, and sales collaterals
- Guide junior sales resources on process discipline and conversion best practices
- Share insights to improve overall sales effectiveness
3. Reporting & Business Reviews
- Prepare and present periodic BD and sales performance reports
- Track and analyse:
- Leads worked
- Deals closed
- Conversion ratios
- Revenue realised
- Participate in review meetings with founders and leadership
- Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
4. Hiring Support (As Required)
- Support leadership in screening and interviewing for:
- Sales and BD roles
- Sales support and coordination roles
- Assist in defining role expectations and capability requirements
- Provide hiring feedback from a business and performance perspective
Engagement & Commercial Structure
Non-Sales Activities
- Consultant will be billed on a per-visit / per-hour basis for:
- Reporting and reviews
- Sales enablement activities
- Hiring support
- Team coordination and internal discussions
- Commercials for visit-based work to be defined separately.
Sales Incentives (B2B Closures)
- Sales activities will be compensated purely through performance-linked incentives
- No fixed salary or sales retainer applicable for B2B closures
- Incentives applicable only for end-to-end closures owned by the Consultant
- Incentive structure and slabs to be governed by a separate incentive annexure
Ideal Consultant Profile
- 618+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or consulting
- Proven ability to drive end-to-end deal closures
- Strong professional network and sourcing capability
- Comfortable working in incentive-driven, outcome-based models
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in service-based, branding, or consulting businesses preferred

Contractual and performance-driven
Suitable for independent consultants or fractional BD leaders
A blend of sales execution and management support
This role is not:
A full-time salaried employment role (at the start)
A fixed-pay or retainer-based sales position
Role Progression & Important Note
- Based on performance, business contribution, and mutual interest , this role may be converted into a full-time position in the future.
- Compensation for this role is structured as:
- Per-visit / per-hour billing for non-sales activities
- Incentive-only compensation for B2B sales closures
- Please do not apply if you are not comfortable with incentive-based compensation and visit/hour-based fees , as no fixed monthly salary is applicable for sales activities.
