Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to design, deploy, manage, and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), identity management, networking, and endpoint management to deliver secure and scalable virtual desktop solutions.

You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Azure Virtual Desktop environments, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and security compliance for enterprise workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Virtual Desktop Implementation

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop environments
• Configure host pools, application groups, and workspaces
• Optimize session host performance and scaling

Infrastructure & Automation

• Implement infrastructure using Azure ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform
• Automate deployments using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Azure DevOps
• Manage golden images for session hosts

Identity & Security

• Integrate AVD with Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
• Implement Conditional Access, MFA, and RBAC
• Secure AVD environments using Microsoft Defender for Cloud

Networking

• Configure Azure VNets, subnets, NSGs, and private endpoints
• Optimize connectivity with ExpressRoute or VPN
• Troubleshoot latency and performance issues

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Insights
• Troubleshoot user session issues, FSLogix profile problems, and host performance
• Implement autoscaling and cost optimization strategies

Endpoint & Application Management

• Integrate with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
• Deploy applications to AVD environments
• Manage user profiles with FSLogix

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305)

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
