Role Summary

Were looking for a hands-on engineer skilled in Azure networking and firewall security, with foundational knowledge of enterprise networkingincluding Cisco and Palo Alto.

You will design, deploy, and troubleshoot secure cloud & hybrid network architectures while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Networking

• Design, deploy & manage VNets, subnets, UDRs, VNet peering
• Work on Azure services:
• Load Balancer
• Application Gateway (WAF)
• Traffic Manager
• Front Door
• Configure hybrid connectivity:
• VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute
• Enterprise IP planning, routing & troubleshooting
• Resolve complex Azure & hybrid network issues

Azure Firewall & Network Security

• Deploy & manage Azure Firewall (Standard / Premium)
• Create/manage rules:
• Network / Application
• NAT (DNAT/SNAT)
• Implement NSGs, ASGs
• Integrate logs with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel
• Support Zero Trust & compliance requirements

Hybrid & OnPrem Networking (Secondary)

• Support enterprise Cisco environments:
• Routing & Switching (LAN/WAN)
• VLANs
• OSPF / BGP basics
• Cisco Wireless
• Support hybrid routing & firewall changes
• Assist on Palo Alto policy updates, NAT, traffic flow troubleshooting

Automation & Operations

• Automate infra using ARM, Bicep, Terraform
• Use PowerShell & Azure CLI for configuration
• Implement monitoring, alerting & runbooks
• Participate in change, upgrades & capacity planning

Required Skills

• Strong handson experience in Azure Networking
• Expertise with Azure Firewall & NSGs
• Strong fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, VPN, routing
• Hybrid cloud troubleshooting
• Excellent documentation & communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Cisco Routing & Switching
• Cisco Wireless
• Palo Alto firewalls
• Azure Firewall Premium (IDPS, TLS inspection)
• SIEM integration (Microsoft Sentinel)
• Terraform (preferred)

Preferred Certifications

• AZ700 Azure Network Engineer Associate
• AZ500 Azure Security Engineer Associate
• Cisco CCNA/CCNP
• Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE
