We are seeking an experienced AKS Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and highly available Kubernetes platforms on Microsoft Azure for enterprise banking workloads . Youll own AKS cluster engineering, networking/security, CI/CD enablement, observability, IaC automation, and production support.

• Design, deploy, upgrade, and operate AKS clusters (prod-grade HA, autoscaling, node pools, upgrades, backups/DR).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / Jenkins / GitHub Actions) for containerized workloads.
• Configure and manage AKS networking : VNet integration, private clusters, ingress (NGINX/App Gateway), DNS, load balancers, NSGs, WAF concepts.
• Manage storage : Azure Disks/Files, StorageClasses, PV/PVC strategies, performance tuning.
• Implement identity & access : Azure AD integration, RBAC , workload identity/managed identities.
• Implement security controls : secret management (Key Vault + CSI/External Secrets), image scanning, policy governance (Azure Policy/OPA), least privilege.
• Implement observability : Azure Monitor / Log Analytics, Prometheus + Grafana dashboards, alerting, SLO/SLA monitoring.
• Monitor and optimize performance, reliability, and cost (resource requests/limits, HPA/VPA, cluster scaling, rightsizing).
• Troubleshoot production issues (incident triage, root cause analysis, postmortems, automation to prevent recurrence).
• Collaborate with dev teams to containerize apps , create deployment standards, and improve release quality.
• Automate infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / Bicep / ARM) and GitOps practices where applicable.
  

• 4+ years hands-on experience in AKS engineering/operations (within 6+ years overall).
• Strong Kubernetes fundamentals: deployments, services, ingress, configmaps, secrets, RBAC, namespaces, node pools.
• Azure expertise: Networking, Storage, Identity, Security (VNet, NSG, Private endpoints, Key Vault, AAD).
• Strong containerization knowledge: Docker , image best practices, registries (ACR preferred).
• CI/CD expertise: Azure DevOps / Jenkins / GitHub Actions (pipelines, deployments, approvals, artifacts).
• Monitoring/logging: Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor/Log Analytics .
• IaC: Terraform / Bicep / ARM templates (modules, environments, state management).
• Linux administration + scripting (Bash/PowerShell ) and strong troubleshooting skills.
  

• Service mesh: Istio / Linkerd
• Helm charts, Operators, GitOps (Flux/ArgoCD)
• Security tooling: OPA, Azure Policy, Aqua, Twistlock/Prisma Cloud
• Exposure to Java apps, DB concepts, and performance tuning
• Experience working in Banking/Financial Services (compliance, audit readiness, secure deployments)
