The Team

Deloittes Technology & Transformation practice can help you uncover and unlock the value buried deep inside vast amounts of data. Our global network provides strategic guidance and implementation services to help companies manage data from disparate sources and convert it into accurate, actionable information that can support fact-driven decision-making and generate an insight-driven advantage. Our practice addresses the continuum of opportunities in business intelligence & visualization, data management, performance management and next-generation analytics and technologies, including big data, cloud, cognitive and machine learning.

Your work profile

As a Senior Consultant/ Manager in our Engineering practice, you will build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations.

You will be responsible for individually delivering high-quality work products within defined timelines. On a need basis, you will mentor junior team members and collaborate with onsite/offshore teams to understand and translate functional requirements into scalable DevOps solutions.

Work youll do

• Apply industry knowledge to requirements gathering and analysis, ensuring alignment with sector-specific needs.
• Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Services (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts) and GitHub Actions.
• Demonstrate expertise across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)from design and coding to deployment and defect resolution.
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM/Bicep, and Ansible.
• Set up landing zones, configure auto-scaling and auto-provisioning, and manage multi-subscription/multi-account cloud environments.
• Deploy and manage microservices in Kubernetes (AKS), including writing Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests.
• Implement branching strategies (Git Flow, trunk-based development) aligned with release management models.
• Configure and manage cloud-native services such as Azure Functions, App Service, AKS, Storage, and Azure SQL Database.
• Establish monitoring and observability frameworks using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Conduct peer reviews and ensure adherence to quality and governance standards.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and effort estimation.
• Identify automation opportunities, recommend process improvements, and drive innovation initiatives to enhance efficiency and value delivery.
• Support knowledge management and capability building within the team.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills / Experience

• 48 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Services and/or GitHub Actions.
• Strong experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM/Bicep, and Ansible.
• Proficiency in YAML/JSON scripting and automation using Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience deploying containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
• Hands-on exposure to Azure cloud-native services (Azure Functions, App Service, AKS, Storage, Azure SQL).
• Solid understanding of branching strategies and release management models.
• Experience in implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and adopt emerging DevOps tools and services.

Desired Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps or related engineering roles.
• Exposure to security and compliance in cloud environments (IAM, encryption, audit logging).
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise transformation programs.

Location and way of working

• Base location: Pan India
• This role may require occasional travel to client locations.
• Hybrid is our default way of working, customized to each domains needs.
