Role description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Lead Azure Databricks to lead the design development and deployment of scalable data engineering solutions This role requires deep technical expertise in Azure cloud services Databricks and data pipeline orchestration along with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities

Key Responsibilities

Lead the architecture design and implementation of endtoend data pipelines using Azure Databricks Data Factory and Data Lake

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions

Develop reusable frameworks for data ingestion transformation and validation

Ensure data quality governance and security across all stages of the data lifecycle

Mentor and guide junior engineers and developers conducting code reviews and technical sessions

Optimize performance and costefficiency of data workflows in cloud environments

Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems

Participate in client discussions solutioning workshops and technical evaluations

Required Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field

8 years of experience in data engineering with at least 34 years in Azure Databricks

Strong handson experience with PySpark SQL and Python

Proficiency in Azure services Data Factory Data Lake Storage Gen2 Azure SQL Blob Storage

Experience with CICD pipelines DevOps practices and version control systems eg Git

Solid understanding of data modeling data warehousing and performance tuning

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with realtime data ingestion and streaming technologies eg Kafka Event Hubs

Familiarity with Delta Lake Unity Catalog and MLflow

Azure certifications eg Azure Data Engineer Associate Azure Solutions Architect

Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA Confluence
