Azure Cloud Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our clients dynamic technology team. This role will focus on designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud solutions while ensuring security, performance, and cost efficiency. You will play a critical role in enabling application teams with best-in-class cloud infrastructure and innovative cloud-native architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems using microservices, containers, and serverless architectures.
• Manage, monitor, and optimise multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Ensure robust cloud security practices and compliance standards, integrating security tools and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Collaborate with development, IT, and security teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) and automation expertise.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
• For senior-level candidates: proven leadership experience and expertise managing enterprise-scale cloud environments.
