Key Responsibilities

Architect and design modern data platforms aligned with industry best practices and standards.
Develop high-level and low-level technical solution designs for data integration and analytics.
Build and optimize database models for efficient data access and storage.
Define and implement strategies for data integrity, security, and compliance.
Design and implement data quality and governance frameworks.
Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver scalable data platform roadmaps and solutions.
Ensure performance tuning, cost optimization, and adherence to security standards.
Mentor technical teams and contribute to best practices documentation.

Must-Have Technical Skills

Azure Services: Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Event Hub, Azure Functions.
Data Modeling: Design and optimize conceptual, logical, and physical data models for efficient data access and storage.
ETL/ELT Development: Build and manage data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks (PySpark/Spark), and SQL.
Programming: Strong proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with Spark for big data processing.
Data Governance & Quality: Implement data cataloging, lineage, and quality frameworks using tools like Azure Purview or Collibra.
Security & Compliance: Apply encryption, RBAC, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA) within Azure environment.
Performance Optimization: Tune queries, optimize storage and compute resources for cost efficiency and scalability.
DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ARM templates or Terraform for infrastructure automation.
