1. Function Context

1.1 Positioning

• Position: Azure Cloud Architect
• Supervisory Role: No

1.2 Purpose of the Role

ArcelorMittal is looking for two Azure Cloud Architects with more than 5 years of experience, working in close collaboration and deep partnership with internal and external IT teams and application teams.

The role involves evaluating new solutions or projects from an infrastructure and architecture point of view. This is followed by the realization of a Proof of Concept (PoC). Once validated, the final phase covers the industrialization of the solution installation and the training of the Run team.

The scope of responsibilities will cover the ArcelorMittal Flat Europe perimeter.

2. Key Responsibilities

Azure Cloud Architecture Design

• Define new architecture solutions on the Azure Cloud platform
• Support application teams in making architecture choices

Solution Development and Deployment

• Develop and implement new solutions using Terraform
• Create and manage new pipelines with Terraform in Azure DevOps
• Industrialize models for scalability and efficiency

Production Environment Support

• Assist the Run team in managing production environments for new solutions
• Provide documentation, help, and deployment processes to ensure smooth handover to the Run team

Knowledge Sharing and Documentation

• Create comprehensive documentation, wikis, and deployment guides
• Support solution delivery and team enablement

• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts
• Expertise in Azure DevOps (pipelines with Terraform / Bicep & GitHub)

• Proficiency in Azure Cloud solutions, including:
• Networking
• Security
• Azure-provided services
• Experience with operating systems:
• Windows
• Linux
• Experience with scripting on Windows and Linux
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps modules for:
• Pipelines
• Documentation and Wiki
• Proficiency in Terraform / IaC / PowerShell
• Azure certification is a plus

4. Requirements

Education

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Masters degree and technical certifications are a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure as an Azure Cloud Architect
• High-level knowledge and deep hands-on practice with Azure tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) architecture

Additional Requirements

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills
• Ability to provide training, support, and advice to Run teams
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and geographically dispersed environment
• Proficiency in English is required
• Knowledge of other European languages is a plus
• Ability to install, monitor, improve, and fix issues
