Azure Automation Engineer-Contract

• We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, Azure CLI, PowerShell, and Python, and will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining automated cloud infrastructure and workflows on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in leveraging AI tools or AI-driven approaches for automation, monitoring, and workflow optimization is highly desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

• Design, develop, and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt following
• best practices.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of Azure resources.
• Implement reusable, modular IaC patterns for scalable and secure deployments.
• Manage and optimize Azure environments across dev, test, and production.
• Scripting & Tooling
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Azure CLI.
• Build automation for routine operational tasks such as environment setup, patching,
• scaling, and cleanup.
• Create and maintain runbooks using Azure Automation or similar orchestration tools.

DevOps & CI/CD

• Integrate Terraform and automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless infrastructure deployments and
• rollbacks.
• Enforce infrastructure governance, tagging standards, and cost optimization practices.

AI-Driven Automation (Preferred)

• Explore and implement AI-assisted automation for incident resolution, workflow creation,
• and operational efficiency.
• Leverage AI tools for code generation, infrastructure validation, log analysis, and anomaly
• detection.
• Contribute to proof-of-concepts (PoCs) involving AI-powered cloud automation.

Primary Skills

Must-Have

• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Terragrunt in Azure environments.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and Azure CLI.
• Solid understanding of Azure core services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation best practices.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control systems.

Secondary Skills ( Good To Have)

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Exposure to AI/ML tools or leveraging AI for automation and workflow optimization.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
